CEAB-CSIC’s researchers, in the World’s Top 2% Scientists

Stanford University (USA) compiles a ranking of the most relevant scientists every year. This is the prestigious World’s Top 2% Scientists (also known as the ‘Stanford ranking’). Based on data provided by the Scopus database (divided into 22 scientific fields and 174 subdisciplines), it determines the top 2% of professionals worldwide and across different fields of science who are the most influential.

It does so by considering the number of articles each researcher has published, the quality of the journals in which they have been published, the number of citations received, and other indicators that reflect the impact of their contributions.

The results are presented in two different lists: the first ranks the most prominent researchers based on their entire professional career (up until August 1, 2024). In this list, the following researchers from CEAB-CSIC stand out:”

The second list refers to the most cited scientits in the last year (2023). The following researchers from CEAB-CSIC are included:

Stanford ranking’ highlights, among more than 10 million active professionals, the 200,000 who are at the forefront for their entire careers and the 200,000 most relevant in the past year, thus representing the 2% referenced in the name of this ranking: World’s Top 2% Scientists. Appearing, maintaining a position, and moving up the ranks is highly valued within the academic community and shows the quality and impact of the scientific research conducted at CEAB-CSIC.
